1. Driver's window wont go up.
2. I think the motor is bad.
3. How can I raise the window to remove the motor?
4. How do I disconnect the two cables attached to the motor?
5. Chuck Tator - how much is a new motor? (driver's side, 98 RT/10)

Why do you think the motor is bad? Remember how my driver's side wouldn't work last time I was down, it was a matter of a couple of wires from the door to the car which had broken off - given the use of your car, might be the same thing.

Thanks Scott, that's what it looked like to me. I need to figure out how the cables disconnect from the window rails or whatever they're connected to. Any help?

Slaughter, I still hear a noise at the motor when I push the button. So I think the motor is getting juice. I'm swapping the RT/10 motor with the one in the GTS to see if it's the problem.

Happened to me at VOI7. Lowered the window, heard a clunk and the window wouldn't go up again. I could hear the motor also. Turned out the cables broke - evidently a common problem. I reached down in the opening and pulled up the window and wedged it with a folded up piece of cardboard for the rest of the time I was at VOI.

As I remember it was not cheap to fix - but thanks to warranty coverage it didn't cost me anything.

$362??? For that price the ******* thing better last longer than 5 years. Isn't there a Jeep pn I can use? If not, I see a market opening.

Thanks Chuck, I'll get back to you once I find out for sure.
