pre-season start

hi, i am insuring my viper for april 1. I haven't started it since the end of October. What should I do before starting/driving it?

Charge battery (if no tender), check fluids, visual inspection, turn key.

If you plan to drive said Viper after starting it, check and adjust the tire pressures BEFORE starting the car.

Check tire pressure , change oil, check fluids, change the titanium miller rod in the flux capacitor and grease the muffler bearing.

I agree, just start it and go. If you really want to belt-and-suspenders it, prevent either fuel or spark and crank it for about 10-15 seconds to get oil moved around before starting. Probably doesn't need it but certainly doesn't hurt if its been sitting a long time.....

Yes but,,,,,would that be a DC9 DC10 or 747,767,or even the 787...it is important as each one has a different method of start...the OP might make a mistake and start it like an old DC9 and start the engine first and then the battery check...that's a no no on that plane

Or do what I do....have a ACCU-Sump and flip a switch to prime the engine before starting it. I leave the car on a battery tender with less than 1/4 of fuel over winter. Let it warm up about 10min...go to empty lot and do a good burnout, then off onto the free way for some fun.

whats an appropriate PSI for the tires for street driving?

Low to mid 30's for most temp ranges. Lower if you want bite for drag racing, higher if you want to reduce shoulder flex and preserve tread through the twisties or road course.

Lol, Must be a Canadian thing! April 1 is my insurance renewal also .. Although I have been around the block a couple times already
Do your inspection as others have said take it easy for the first tank of petrol, burn through that tank of stabilizer then fill up and let her rip!

Pull the fuel pump relay and turn over to get oil presure up then start....
