Problem ... Is it my clutch ?

I know that vipers need few minutes to wake up until temperature gets somewhere close to 190 before fully reponding in accelerations.
Now even after driving the car for a while I feel like it doesn't respond at low rpms, I feel like I am pushing the gas and the car is not moving (like if it was on neutral) and then when rpms go higher everything becomes normal. I have been told by some people that this is a common indicator that my clutch needs to be replaced ... I wanted to ask for opinion before going to service.
Also If that's the case what are my options (Centerforce, new luk ?) what is the performance/durability/price
I do not track my car but I do push it to the edge on shifts sometimes on highways.

It's a 2000 RT/10 with 15K

I'd check the bolts on your u-joint straps first...see if you're slipping back there...

You should be able to tell if the clutch is slipping...To me, the motor kind of sounds like the tires are spinning, when the clutch actually slipping and the tires ain't spinning...The LUK is aroud $330 if I recall...stock clutch and best bang for the buck...IMO...

Also you could call any of the tuners, and see if they has any brand new take off flywheels cheap...Inspect yours thoroughly to see if you need a new one...

Or go ahead and install an aluminum flywheel...Changing the clutch is absolutely no biggie at all...You don't even have to drop the tranny all the way...An 18 mm crows foot comes in handy...you'll see why!

Also new luk is on ebay for 190 only, I guess the prices went down ...

Clutch slipping is normally accompanied by a unique smell from the clutch burning up. Flywheel and pressure plate would be good to change out if you're already there.

IF you cannot tell that your cl. is slipping you should take it to some one that could tell. we all have our limits .
