Problem with my headlamps

Well since I noticed this its been bothering me so I thought I'd ask if its normal. During the day when I have my HID's off the front headlamps seem to be perfectly clear. At night or during the evening when I turn them on it seem slike they have fine scratches/swirls whatever you would like to call them going sideways all accross them. Is this normal? If not would soemthing small like this be covered under warrenty? (And no I'm not talking about the long line that runs up and down on both lights!) Thanks in advance

The same swirl remover type of cleaner/wax I use helps on plastic too. It's Meguires NXT.

So are your lights completely clear when you turn them on?

No. They have fine scratches and a rainbow effect in the plastic. It's normal.

That looks like downright scracthes in the lens. Could those be from wiping road grime and dust with a dry cloth.

I've only noticed the rainbow effect, no doubt from the intensity of the light.

If the dealer, finds it to out of the norm, and not caused by an abrasive. Check out some other cars, with some miles on them, to see if this is common.

I checked out my lens and it is no where near that bad in terms of scratches. It is almost clear with very faint scratches. I have less than 5k on the car though.

I have less then 1k on mine!! I'll be paying the dodge dealership a visit today!

I have 5600 miles on my SRT and no where near the scratchs as yours I suspect the make ready folks at the dealer may used something abrasive on your lens

How many of you guys come home after a drive and find your len's looking like this

No scratches. But do have the fogging. Not a constant problem goes away after a short time. Know for a fact that moisture not being induced by rain or washing.
