Project Gotham Racing 2 (XBOX) - Viper World Records...

Project Gotham 2 for the XBOX has the GTS Viper and the new RT-10. If you have XBOX Live ( http://www.xbox.com/en-us/live/default.htm ) you can "post ghosts" of your lap. So you can take your viper, download the world's fastest ghost and then race against it through the streets of Hong Kong, Chicago, Yokohama, Washington DC , Edinburgh the Nurburgring, etc. (there are 101 other cars to pick from if you want to race something else than a Viper). If you beat the lap your ghost gets uploaded for everyone else to see.

Last night I (Gamertag = Iridium) posted a new world record for the Viper GTS event. There is a ton of time left in the lap. I think as a forum we should own the Scoreboard and the top ghost times. There are ~100k people registered and playing PGR2 at the moment.

Just wrapped up playing PG2 last night - finished all races on medium (about 20% on hard, all the rest on medium) and ended up with a judos level 41.

Great game.

Best part? Driving the Enzo flat out on the full 'Ring - the ENTIRE 'ring recreated for our driving pleasure. Had to finish the entire Kudos world series for that but MAN it was soooo worth it...

First thing I did was get enough kudos to unlock the GTS, z06, and 360 so I could drag race them My favorite part so far was when I tried a one-on-one at expert level in the supercar series and saw it was a GTS they put you up against

There are a wide variety of challenges in the game. If you have XBOX Live then you can compete in an additional set of online-only challenges.

They have "Car Challenges" and "Circuit Challenges" for all of the cars and tracks in the game (you can race these offline, but you can't post a ghost doing that). Basically, for the car challenge they've picked a specific circuit for each car, and if you want to "be the best" with that car you can try to prove it in a common area. For the circuit challenges you simply pick the car of your choice and try to set the top time at that track.

The Viper GTS challenge is a track in Chicago, so you blaze through the skyscrapers and over the bridges and such.

Blah, I'm sure PGR2 is a good game, but I am not a fan of Xbox live. I personaly am a PS2 guy. Seeing as it's free to get online.

NFS UG is a great game, to bad you couldn't choose whether you'd like to be a drag racer or a circut racer, me prefering straight lines, and trying to get that top speed is definetly a rush. Even though, everyonce and a while I do like to do a circut, just to keep myself on the edge. I mean, I know it's a video game, but when you fly around corners at 130, and come within inches of a car, you kinda let out a big sigh of relef after passing it.

Now, one game that Xbox has over PS2 is Halo, and with halo 2 drawing nearer and nearer, I think I know what I plan to spend my Christmas cash on.

I just finished 'gold' level and what did I get? A Mercedes??? What a bunch a crap! To earn a gold metal on some of the final races on the 'ring' was nearly impossible. Forget Platinum. The other cars cheat. It's so frustrating to be closing in on the leader only to have the third place car suicide you with a pit maneuver! It takes over 6 minutes for a lap and after the second lap of the full Nurburgring to know the programmers intentionally made it this way, ugh. When I finally got lucky with a second place I was so relieved. The good thing is that the accuracy of the track is great, and I think when I get to drive the real ring in May, I'll know every corner.

My kid owned the top ranking (#1) on Xbox Live for the first month or so the game was out - both on the GTS and the SRT-10. Finally got bored that nobody was challenging him (name: SPOON) and hasn't played it in a while. I will have to let him know that others are playing...

I just started the game Monday night. Close to being one of the best racing games I've ever played. What section in the game can I find the GTS?

If you just started, you will think it's awesome. When you get to the higher levels, and gold / platinum medals it gets frustrating. Especially the cone challenges, you must be perfect to win a medal. The Vipers are about mid-way through the game. Enjoy.....the GTS kicks butt! The SRT is a little loose!
