I had hoped to have it home by now, but a series of unexpected items relating to the Gen II windshield surround have created quite a bit more work for Ed.

Also, while fitting the body panels, it was discovered that there appears to be a slight "twist" in the frame, not enough to prevent wheel alignment, but enough to prevent "excellent" panel alignment, so she is in the frame shop.

For those of you that have never seen a Viper on a frame rack, this is what it looks like before being "strapped in". I am really beginning to like the look of the CCW wheels combined with the Eibach springs. Note the side pipes are off, they were removed for ceramic coating.

20 yr old Chief two tower rack? Where are they anchoring it from? No pinch welds on a viper. Do you have the frame dim, I have them if you PM me your fax # (they are not longer published by motors or mitchell) You really need to get a 3 dim ladder under that car to get the dimensions straight before you just start yanking. These cars are not easy to pull and they have so many adjustements that its easy to overpull thinking you are making it exact when you are pulling out another dimension.

What made you decide to go with a two-tone gray/red paintjob? :p

Red and yellow was already taken :2tu:

The hood and doors are primed, sanded and ready for paint.... actually, the only panals not ready are the red rear fenders, and the hardtop, which happened to be silver, front and rear fascia's are ready as well. This was the point Ed was at when he was not able to get the doors to line up the way he wanted and figured out the frame had been tweaked.

Oldie but a goodie frame rack. We chose him because he did his personal Viper on the rack, and it was way worse than mine when he started. I'll certainly PM you my fax, but I'm 99.9% he has all the frame dims.

When I talked to him, he answered all the questions the same way as Fat Albert told me he should.... FA has pulled more Viper frames than anyone in the country, which is why I called him to find out "what to ask"......

I sal the ladder on the wall, smart move. I have your PM let me know if you still need the dim (I am sure he has them) how is he anchoring the car? I use full frame truck clamps that way I can still get the ladder under.
