Prowler mirror in a Viper

We recently did a header and exhaust upgrade for Mr. Greenberg in his gorgeous blue Prowler and I noticed that the mirror (rear view) in those have a full trip computer built in. Started me wondering if the mirror could be functional in a Viper. I am curious if the functions are just tapped from basic lines off the pcm or if the pcm MUST have specific outputs to the mirror? Anyone have experience experimenting with this possible transplant? I will get the cost of a Prowler mirror in the morning....

Check Autoweek, any issue. There is a mirror avaiable through MITO that offers compass and temperature. Look a little big... but surely is made to be self contained, and would just need power... and possibly an additional wire for outside temp?
