I've got my 96 R/T stored for the winter. I start it every couple days to let it warm up. The last 4 times I've started it, the same procedure happens.

First crank- turns over and over- sounds like no fuel

Second crank- turns over and tries- but dies

third crank- fires right up.

I believe people have said this is a fuel pump relay issue or something like that.

Question- What should I tell the dealer to look for?

Thanks,

Dave

I agree, it sounds like no fuel. I have to prime the fuel in my 97 GTS four or five times to get it to start.

Turn the key just far enough to let (listen to) the fuel pump kick in. Do it four or five times and on the final time turn the key all the way and see if it fires. If it fires up I'd say the battery is ok and the pump might be going bad.

Just a guess.
