Nice!!! Can you get the stock Grill on with it? If so Ill take the other one off your hands.

Do you think you have "real" bass? I have played around with the stock location between the seats and different speakers. None of them was able to deliver what I would call real bass. Main reason for this as I believe is, that there is no enclosed volume for the driver in the OEM Location. I ended up building a footwell sub using an 8" driver (a trunk solution will not work either in the roadster). This is what I would recommend to anyone who wants to have some "real" bass ;-)

I'm also very interested in whether or not you can fit the original speaker grill back on?

Do you have a model number for the new speaker?

I replaced mine with a JL Subwoofer quite a few years ago. I was able to get the stock grill back on.

Idk if I'd call it "real" bass but it certainly sounds better than the blown, crumbly speaker that was in before.
Yes, you can get the original grill over new speaker
