Re: Racedeck Flooring

Ok I could not resist:
ZEN GARAGE: The Daytona tile you are refering is is not Identical in anyway to RaceDeck...It is a foam filled tile , it has virtually no support structure( just posts).
The foam filler is used to save money and try to keep the top surface smooth....It will warp over time and even in their warranty it states to keep away from petroleum products or the warranty is void....The company that makes this product was founded by our family over 30 years ago and was sold about 8 years ago, and since then has been sold several times over, including a bankruptcy.
I usually never attack any competitors products, but when someone makes a false claim, I have to say what is the truth....

Re: Racedeck Flooring

dont get me wrong i am sure that the racedeck has its place and use. my 100% epoxy floor was professionally installed by an industrial coatings specialist. floor had proper vapor barrier(i am a builder and built my home) and prepped correctly. as for the chemicals that can damage the coating as long as you dont wipe it while its wet(let it evaporate) you will not damage floor. yes scratches can happen if you are not careful, i have only got surface scratches and have not fully penetrated the coating in anyspots i do use jack stands and floor jacks in my garage and just try to be careful of sharp objects dropping

Re: Racedeck Flooring

I am in agreement that RaceDeck is not for everyone and Epoxy in not for everyone....just as some prefer the Coupe and some *******.....
If you go Epoxy....go with the best, if you go with suspended modular flooring, go with the best....If you drive an american muscle car....go with the best....
