BTW, Yes, they are hardwired. they turn on only when the key is in the "ON" position.

I have a 2000 RT/10 and I was wondering if there are any ideas for the placement of the radar detector? Under the rear view mirror obstructs my view on right corners.

My V1 is mounted center windshield, just high enough to be able to "see' out the back window. I have no trouble with visability inmy '00 RT.
