We have Gen I and Gen II's...non-track...using Mopar in rearend (with Mopar additive) and Castrol Syntorq for 99 and 01 trannies ( BEST DEAL we've fround on this is via JonB )....have no experience with Redline products in street cars. I'm sure others can assist.

Sheyster,

We are using nothing but the Redline product for all fluids except brake and clutch(Motul), oil, rear and tranny are Redline. My car has a Blueprint tranny, differential cooler and 600HP Venom upgrade. We have been running it pretty hard at the Viper Day events and we have seen no breakdown problems. To be honest with you the fluids do not stay in the car long enough to even think about breaking down. Larry Macedo, Performance Motorsports is taking care of my car and this has been his suggestion on the fluids and the interval changing. Redline is a superior product and you may pay a little more for it but who wants to pay for a new engine, tranny, rear-end....not me I have already paid enough and I want to get my money's worth now....

Porterfield Enterprises 800.537.6842 (Paula or Wendy)
40W Oil Red Line Synthetic $79 per case
Brake and Clutch Fluid Motul 600 $89 per case
75W-90 Redline Gear Oil, $79 per case
Redline D4 ATF Synthetic Transmission Fluid, $85 per case
Redline Power Steering Fluid, $70 per case
Redline CV2 Tube Grease $8.50 per tube
K & N Air Filter Cleaning Kit 99-5000
K & N Oil Filter HP-2004

Hope this helps!

Only questions that I would ask: is you car for track,street...or both?.....and will you change tranny and diff fluids MANY times per season? If you are street only, I'm NOT sure that using "racer fluids" offers correct LONG term protection...certainly seems to be an issue in engine oils and brake fluids....I defer to Tom "the Fluids & Lube Geek of the Realm" (hope I have the title right)

I'd recommend using the MOPAR fluid in both the diff and the tranny. We have 5 years of heavy track experience in our Vipers with it and it works fine as well as protecting your warranty. There have been many long threads in the past about NOT USING REDLINE in your tranny. It has been proven not to work in the Viper tranny. DON'T DO IT. I don't know a single good reason for using anything other than that recommended in your Viper service manual, although most racers use Mobil 1 15-50 instead of 10-30. Motul 600 brake fluid for both your brakes and your clutch are recommended for the track. Good luck.

I know this is an OLD thread but I'm about to replace most of the fluids in my car and have been wanting to ask this for a while.

When it comes to brake and clutch fluids, several other car clubs are partial to Castrol GTLMA (LMA=Low Moisture Activity) fluid because it resists absorbing water better than other fluids. Now, this doesn't say anything about it's ability to hold up on the track but for the street-only or rare track users, it might be a better bet.

Thoughts?

As for blinker fluid, always use nothing but Mobil 1 100% pure synthetic Extra Bright Blinker fluid! ;)

This is easy. Mopar fluids for tranny and rear.
Motul600RBF (found at motorcycle shops) $10-15 for brake and clutch fluid unless you are a serious tracker and can afford that Castrol brand for something like $60 a quart. It's not the same Castrol you mentioned.

Do some searching for tips on changing. I learned a lot of tricks and tips doing mine the first time.
