WOW!!,
First, the crowd was enormous, there was cars and motorcycles of every brand on hand, with every performance adder you can imagine!
It was CHAOTIC!! You could race for NO TIME(not even the people in the control tower knew what you ran) Heads up, Handicapped, whatever. One race was a car against a motorcycle for $ 2000.00
Whens the last time you saw a motorcycle and a car race side-by-side at the dragstrip?
Our first victim was the ULTIMATE KILL!!!!!. I only wish i would have brought my movie camara! A Ferarri Maranallo 550. It was a nice looking car, silver, 1997 but looked brand new with 7000 miles. The driver was anxious to bragg and show us the 485 HP v-12 engine! He said he paid $ 208,000.00 for it! We ended up racing for a gentlemans bet of $ 20 bucks. He ran a loosing 13.43 @ 108 mph. A very nice fellow although so devistated by his defeat that he left the track immediately after our race. The night was young and we wanted more victims!
There were no other vipers on hand, lots of Stangs, CRX's, Supras, and the like. We could not find a race other than good ole' Big Block Chevy Powered Drag Cars.
Our final run of the night was on the Nitrous and I layed down a
10.39 at over 135 mph. They crowded around our trailer like Russians at the cheese line!
We definately look forward to attending this event(which i believe is held once a month or so) more often.
thanks for reading,
