Red ACR on Speed's Car Show

Wednesday evening on the Speed Channel one of the segments features a red Viper ACR. Unfortunately, it is a humor bit involving teaching a young lady to drive with a manual trans. Adam Carolla is at it again bringing "girls on trampolines" type of entertainment to all of us car guys. I'll give it a look but don't have high expectations for this one... OK, just seeing a Viper on the toob is better than the usual fare.

I don't know about you,but my Gen IV has such easy clutch engagement that my 71 yr. old mother could drive it with ease.
Now, get that girl in my '66 Shelby and watch her jackrabbit the thing down the road, for sure.

I watched part of the show this morning. It's a huge disappointment. That segment wasn't funny, and didn't really feature the car in any special way. There was one point where one of the Models rev'd the engine to about 5000 RPMs and feathered the clutch for a really long time. I could smell it burning in my living room!

I was hopeful that this would one of the better car shows. It turned out to be about the personalities, and very little to do with cars. The only exception is Dan Neil, that guy is brilliant, but his segments are too short to be useful.

But, I would agree that it's always cool to see a Viper on TV.

Would be fun to find out whose car it is? Good chance it is a Club Member's car and gotta agree it is good to get the exposure.
