I need to change one of the heater hoses on my 94. It has been rubbing against the bolt which holds down the plastic heater box. Can this be done without losing coolant, and avoiding the burping??

thanks in advance.

If this is just the small hose connected to the shutoff valve, then yes. You should be able to install a new one without losing anything beside what is in the hose itself. "Burping" will be minimal, depending on how much you can fill the hose during install. If I'm thinking of the wrong hose, the responses may differ. It shouldn't be bad though. Good luck.

I think you will be fine. Do it nose-down to minimize coolant loss. I have found burping at the valve to be most effective.

are there cliff notes available for removing the air in the system via heater hoses? I have heard of putting a T into one of the lines to make the job easier, good idea or bad??
