If you put a Roe huffer with a 10 pound pulley on a motor with ported heads, 1.7 rockers, headers and larger throttle bodies (making about 500 RWHP) what do you think average-tune RWHP range should be with boost?:dunno:

Looking at the numbers among the Roe community, it seems like the range is 650-750, though there are folks lower and higher.

More like 650-680rwhp. It will take the 'perfect' build to get you over 700. some have done it, but very few. even with water/**** and an uber-tuner (like PBJ), it will take some significant 'effort' to get over 700 on that setup as described.

AVERAGE is closer to 650 in this set-up. there are a few (less than 5 i can think of... actually, less than 3) that are over 700rwhp at the tires w/o NOS.

my .02...

I would guess that the heads and the CAM will be the biggest variable. 'Ported' heads with 265 cfm intake won't do nearly as good as 300+ cfm heads.

My Gen1 made 600RWHP on 93 octane w/ a 6.5lb pulley and stock 56mm TB's. My mods are as follows. I haven't tried larger boost, as it's not really usefull to me.

ROE 6.5lb SC
Greg Good heads
708 CAM
1.7 Rockers
Edelbrock headers
ROE 3" exhaust

Maybe mine just came out right but with the 8lb,rockers,W/M,headers and exhaust(no cats), 70mm throttle bodies I made 647hp.

Mine was 719 rwhp with the following

Greg Good heads and cam
1.7 rockers
10lb w/ water ****
M&M Performance Headers
High flow cats
70 MM tb's
PBJ tuning

This set up even had 3:55 gears. It would have been around the 740 mark with the 3:07.

Thanks folks, I was askin on behalf of a bud - I'll probably put the blower on next year. I'm happy with it normally aspirated (my dynol chart is below) for now but could use some more low end grunt eventually.

My pal's car has good heads (probably in the 290-300 range) 1.7's, headers, tubes, bigger throttle bodies....all the good breathing stuff and he wondered where he'd be with a 10lb pulley and water/**** injection.

Concensus says 650-700 RW. :2tu:

Thanks a bunch.

10#, watermeth, TBs, headers, 708 cam and 1.7 rockers = 720 rwhp

Turn on the Nitrous 100hp kit and it should make 860rwhp.

Keep in mind that the Roe system also makes Full torque after 2000rpm!

Not to hijack, but how do you come to this conclusion? I hear rumors about this all the time but i've read conflicting reports in books. my personal experience has been that non stock gears tend to show lower HP on the dyno... but according to the dyno manual AND some dyno operators, it doesn't.

so if i had a 3.33 it would be 20 hp more? or less? Or a 4.10 gear would be _much_ less? i'm confused...

Thanks! (for confusing me!)

The torque values increase with steeper gearing but the HP values decrease. It has something to do with the way the dyno interprets the power being altered by the gear ratio.

My 98 GTS had K&N's, modified airbox, exhaust with stock headers, Roe 8# and water/**** injection = 598rwhp/644rwtq.

If I get the time this winter I'll port the heads on my '01. The '01 also had other (minor hp) mods, 9-1 forged pistons, headers, exhaust, vac pump, Larry Macedo Airbox and Brembo fuel pump.
