I'm working on my nitrous card for my Roe S/C. I have a stock motor with a 8 lb pulley. Right now I have 728 rwhp,787 rwtq and 11.2 to 1 A/F with a conservative shot . For those that run nitrous on top of the Roe does my rwtq seem low ?

Thank you

I don't run the setup, but I have seen similar rwhp #'s and they usually have more rwtq than yours. I know one that is 750/850+ and another that is 790/900+.

I guess you could add a little fuel and pick the tq up marginally. I would be curious how your car dyno'd at sea level. Even though #'s are corrected it would still be interesting to know what it does. I assume it would lean up some and you would be able to add fuel and then the tq would come up.

Really just thinking out loud, but there are several on here and tuners that run this setup and should chime in.

Wow! do you guys run race gas when you make that HP?! Or is it just good tuning, SC and a ?? shot of juice? How much spray?

Hey Brad,
Your torque numbers are low for some reason...On most of my set ups with similar baseline numbers I am around 700-750 HP and 950-1050 TQ with less than a 50 shot. I tune all of my Roe/NOS programs on at least 108 octane.
Hope that helps,
Joe

Thanks for all the help
MBN you have a PM

Also looking at the dnyo sheet the HP and TQ #'s jump up and down like a heart beat between 3500 and 4000 rpm. I'm not sure but at this point can it be wheel spin on the dyno? If so could that be why my tq #'s are low ?

Seems low to me too. On a 5# pulley and a 50 shot I am making 655 rwhp and 745 rwtq. That is on a creampuff motor, I think your Torque should be higher.

If you wouldn't mind. I'd love a copy of the program too.

Hi Brad,
If the graph jumps up and down, it could be wheel spin, which I felt recently on the dyno with Craig Butler's car using 10 PSI and NOS, or it could be bottle pressure, line size, solenoid flow, etc.
If you need help, this is a good place to ask. About a year and a half ago, Joe (PBJ) helped me with my first NOS car (MBN's) which was 900 RWHP and somewhere well over 1000 RWTQ (it's kind of a bummer having a dyno that only goes to 1000).
Craig's car did over 1000 RWTQ also, but had less HP than MBN's at something about like 865-880.
Do you know your jet size and bottle pressure?
If I can help, let me know.

Regards,
Sean

After your post about the dyno going up and down I am inclined to think it is a nitrous delivery problem vs. wheelspin. I have been told and seen this happen on a car. As Sean suggested it could be a kink in a line or a pressure issue. Something hampering a smooth flow of nitrous to the motor.

Sean,

Are these cars all running stock bottom ends? How much torque/HP is the stock Viper bottom end good for?

Also, Are any of these cars using progressive nitrous controllers or just an on/off switch?

Mine is on a throttle activation switch. some guys use the Vec2 to turn it on and off at certain rpms like a window switch. I think most of these cars are stock bottom ends. The forged piston guys can run more boost and nitrous.

I'm working off of a NX 33 jet at 900 psi. The rest of you running any smaller jet then that would need at least 1200 psi as far as I can tell. I know that if I run higher octane and throw more timing at it I could make more power but I'm trying to stay with only 94 octane. Looking for any information that might be useful.

Thank you
