Looks like a nice clean install. Is that an Autoform bar?

It's from Tom at BTR. It took my probable three hour's more then it should have to install, but better to measure twice cut and drill once.

Sweeeeeeeeeeet! And you can see through the rear view mirror!

No problem running in the 10's now. Nice low 11's that you posted on the timeslips forum.

Sweet looking bar! Can you post pics of the bar from the top (as much as possible)? I'm interested to see how much you need to cut around the back panel in order to make it fit. And is there a template? Or do you just measure twice and cut once?

Joseph,

The cuts are different between the RT and the GTS. The gts has a carpeted section that bolts to the rear upper console that helps conceal the cuts.

The RT does not have this part. You can if careful, cut the plastic of an RT so that it will bend around the bar and make a perfect fit around the bar where it passes through. I have pics on my website of OUR RT bar from the top.

I have a template at my shop that I use for installs. I do not supply templates as the car still requires measurements to be made as slight variations between factory fitment of the panels may require a .25" or so change in the cutting of the panel.

Does this mess with your ability to slide the seat back all the way? Do your feet get in the way of the bar on the floor?

Seat travel still the same, the only thing I can think of is if you have short legs and big feet the driver's bar mounting point on the floor might be where ones left foot may like to rest.Other then that the rollbar has meet all me expectations.

I noticed the side bar on the driver's side. Are you allowed to carry a passenger when running with that set-up on the strip, Tom?

Hello,

The side bar is removable and that is approved by the NHRA and the scca I believe. The sidebar is not intrusive on the left arm when driving as it hugs close to the concave section inside the drivers door.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
