Hi,
The side pipe thing has been done on later RT/10's, also there is one year (95 or 96 I think) that the RT/10's had side pipes AND roll up glass.
Cheers,

1998 is one of your best choices. Many would agree that in 1998, you have the alarm systems problems worked out in earlier GTS's.
You have the 1st year of the textures dash (I think?). Shorty headers, and still have the lumpy cam AND forged pistons, sencond generation airbag controls, emergency alarm cut off switch and more...
You can't go wrong with any year.. And if you've driven GenI RT's wait until you drive a GenII!!! Look for 1998 RT's under 10k miles for lower 50s'.. They're out there, be patient!

Good Luck

Had a 95 that I put 40,000 miles on that drove the same way when I traded it as the day I pulled it into the driveway (except the rumble improved with age) Still miss them sidepipes. There were minor irritant repairs, but less than I have had in 20k miles in my wife's Windstar.

I'd still recommend calling Bill -- Woodhouse usually has some good used Vipers to complement their extensive new-vehicle fleet. I'm partial to the 2001 cars myself because they have ABS, but the pre-2000 cars make 10-20 extra RWHP if you modify them, and should tolerate NOS better because they use forged pistons.
