I think you're looking at ACV which is the value of the car prior to the damage.
The ACV and the estimated repair cost are the same figure.

How do you figure? Maybe in the case of a car being totaled and the damages equal or exceed the ACV.
Does the definition of ACV mean something other than what I've read before?

He was just saying that the linked web form was filled out that way. The office person who filled out the form put the same number in the ACV block and the repair cost block because it was the quickest and easiest thing to do.

I saw that one. You can get rebuilt salvage for a couple grand more, not worth it. Saw a local 03 rebuilt salvage go for 25k. I bet that 20k bid is a false bid.

Flood cars would make great race cars if purchased for the right price. Who cares about interior, motor will most likely be gone through anyway, wiring is dwindled down to the bare minimum so you know that had to gone through also and as far as the rest of the electronics go, how much does anyone honestly leave in a race car.

That is why I am interested, I would like a Viper to beat up on but the price would have to be really low.
