Dan:

I really appreciate the aid, that is my next step. I didn't want to get into the scaling so close to a race. I am going to the scaling project after labor day, I will let you know how it works.

The above is an old post, last year I scaled the closed loop and refined the wot, the car has never run as good. Like Dan was suggesting/asking, the Palmer OBD software does an excellent job at building closed loop tables.

In retrospect the VEC helped the first few years, but, it was definitely an anchor the last few years. I think in my case (or anyone) the larger injectors compound the VEC deficiencies. Even in closed loop at low power levels the VEC causes the PCM to chase itself, therefore, a slight bucking.

As I looked back at this thread, I think we all have come a long way.

We need the trail-blazers like you Jack!! Keep up the good work. Some of us diehard DIY'ers will catch the SCT fever at some point. I was at the Kennedy Space Center a few weeks ago and figured if they could do what they did during the space program in the 60's with slide rulers and such. I should be able to figure out the SCTand Pro Racer software.
