Selling my 1998 GTS

I need to get my "****" out of debt, so I decided today to sell my 1998 GTS. I just put it in the classifieds. Here is the link:

Since I also have a 1998 Silver GTS that i would probably sell if someone offered to buy please sell that thing for a mint so I feel better! You have stripes or solid? I'm solid with bolt-on mods.

Color: Silver, no stripes

Interior: Perfect (added Rockford speakers in doors) and rear trunk area cover with logo

Tires: New PS2's

Exhaust: Corsa very new

Cats: New Random Tech Ceramic High Flow

Smooth tubes and new K&N's

Exterior: Great paint compared to many silver ones. No panels that look different like many do. Normal wear for a car with 16,000 miles meaning a few chips here and there and scratches under the front fascia like most Vipers. Overall, you gotta get close to find many paint issues.

Price: $33,000

Paid: Much more than that a few weeks ago...

I remember 2 years ago when I got my GTS with 20k miles and full bolts on for 40k out the door was DIRT cheap.

With the current economy the expensive toys are not selling very well. Many owners apparently are willing to take a big loss to sell at a lower price than they would have a year or two ago. Any buyer who has done his homework knows this and will sit on the sidelines until a bargain basement deal comes along.

Not funny as you guys think. It is a "get out of debt" in case of divorce situation. Sell Viper, finish paying off house, debt free. I am not in a desperate situation debt wise... just home-life wise, and no Viper and no debt will make other possible moves much easier and less stressful. So there. That is the story.

george, i hope you don't take offense to the previous presumptions. I hope that situation resolves itself as well as can be. I also hope you don't HAVE to unload as from the sound of the post, it is going to reel in low ballers.

I promise you, that car WILL sell at that asking price. I would not go a cent lower. I already bought my car, but studied the market for a long time before pulling the trigger. That is 1 beautiful car at that price. Don't go lower. If possible, wait a bit and go higher. Ignore low ballers because you WILL sell within a month or two at that price. ebay or autotrader and it is gone...just word it "price firm" and don't mention having to sell.

Sounds like a good low price, about the same as I sold my silver 98 rt/10 for (just over 3 years ago though, but also with 85,000 miles on it then).

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Yes, I am going to stay firm on the price. Like I said, I really don't have to sell it, but it would make things easier. Let's see what happens.

After looking at the ad, the Viper looks like a steal at that price. People spend more than that on cars today and don't get close to the performance or potential to mod. If I was looking for my 1st Viper again, I would buy it.

Sorry for the situations that arose in your life George, sure sux. Getting out of debt is nice though I have to admit. I sold my Dodge Ram Quad Cab and my Viper so I could get out of debt and it worked! It was like I gave myself a $850 raise each month. Sure has been boring without a "toy" (Viper) but no payments is GREAT!!
