Sequential shifters for Tremec...?

I did a search and these were mentioned but nothing about any one using them.

Take a look at the video in the Gallery section from the link below.
It mentions using these shifters on Vipers and "race applications". All of the materials are top of the line too.
Unfortunately the price reflects the quality of the materials used.
I would be interested in the "bump stick" shifter before paddles but to each their own.

Has any one tried these or have any info...?

I talked to them at SEMA a couple of years ago and it seemed like a cool setup until they told me you still have to press the clutch pedal yourself, so it is not a true paddle shift conversion in the sense that you don't need to operate the 3rd pedal.

I had looked at it operate at a show. It seems like it could eliminate mis-shifts; IF it is set up properly.

I would be worried about failure modes where it would quit working. Just an electrical glitch would strand you.

That was the main use I was thinking as well. The dreaded missed 2-3 shift might be cured with a nice powerful solenoid action. I'd imagine they would need some kind of manual cable backup or something in case of failure for a more complete design (assuming it doesn't already have something built in).

Yeah, I know.....

That's why this might be a good alternative. If it works the way it is described, the cost is about 1/3 of the price of an Emco..

I didn't think Libertys were quite the same. You still retain the standard shift pattern on them don't you? If they're what I'm picturing some of them are just special style synchros that aren't teeth so much as ramps (like what's used in NHRA pro stock). I might be totally wrong though.
