I have an MGW gripper shift knob and really like it.

(stock shifter, stock shift rod (rebonded very solidly) and MGW knob)

zosicks,
I have a B & M Ripper, it is very short and to the point. It is a firm short throw shifter... I like it, but other that have driven my car don't. My shift handle is at the edge of the boot, so there is hardly any throw...far from the factory shifter. The old (2000 and older) Rippers had adjustable stops, the newer shifters don't. I have never missed a gear with this shifter at the track or on the street. The install is very straight forward...no problems. The right rear bolt on the shifter is the only problem, it is hard to get to. Hope that helps.

Joe

Zosicks,
Lots and lots of money !!! It is a heads and cam car, I did the heads (ported, milled, big valves and T & D's), Comp ground the cam, 68 mm t-bodies, TNT exhaust(5 in 1 tubes, no cats, bullet mufflers), underdrive pulleys, MP PCM, Vec 1, 3.55 gears, and a 300 wet shot...yada yada yada. It also has TNT's adjustable struts on all 4 corners(6 & 6), some positive camber out back and no sway bar up front. Hell, I am just trying to keep up with all of the other fast cars out there, and I am not doing to well. If I could sell my Corvette, I would buy a Supercharger and spray that...that is where I would like to be by next spring. Anyway, it is not fast enough.

Joe

Every car is a little different... if I was to guess on a stock '00 with those 3 mods, I would say low 11's around 125 to 128. I hate to say that, hopefully I am wrong. It also depends on how good of a driver you are...how you launch, your 60 foot times, and how hard you work your car. I beat my car like a red headed step child every time I drive it.(I apologize in advance on that comment) I watched this guy from Texas in Bowling green drive a normally aspirated car with no bottle run 10.02 and he make it look like a piece of cake. The car left easy, solid shifts, and the car looked like it was a string. I am not sure what all was in the motor, but it was fast. I believe SW had RSI do the car, but I could be wrong. If my car left like that, I could most likely pick up another tenth or two. Anyway, good luck and keep me posted.

Make sure you get some really good bits. You will be drilling through a bunch of tempered rivits. I went through 5 bits. The B&M install in the C5 is much easier then the viper. Although its not that bad.
