Grew up in Northern Saskatchewan. Believe he will need to fill in certain documents, import/export paperwork, pay Sask PST and GST at the border and there are not many shippers that will handle both countries shipping, so you will more than likely have to have shippers on both sides hence you might have to plan on a US shipper to the border and a Canadian shipper from the border.

Where in Saskatchewan are you planning on shipping, Prince Albert, Meadow Lake? Kind of run out of paved roads North of there. Not really Viper driving roads. That is why I moved! Ha! Ha!

Small private shipper is probably the best.

There's lot of outfits that will ship it door to door for you (him). That's what I did. They handled all the paperwork and collected a check on delivery. I have the info at home (on the road in a hotel surfing the VCA website now ....) I can't remember the name of the outfit I used but I had a few quotes done. Will be back Friday and look. Krumedey used the same transport company I did. Maybe he'll chime in

I bought my Viper in the states and after investigating all my options, I decided to fly down and drive it home myself, of course it took 2 days, but with all the paperwork in order at the border, the whole experience went quite smoothly, if the time isn't a consideration that would be my recommendation. Note: I waited until April to drive it home, I didn't want to chance driving it in the snow.

Should be no issue. Most shipping companies that ship accross border know the drill. All customs documents get submitted 72 hours prior to your showing up at the border (or in this case their truck). As long as they have all of the paperwork, there should be no issues.

Other than costing more to ship to Canada than the US, and needing the paperwork (again no issue for the companies that know what they are doing) I dont see it as an issue.

Have used Thorsons before here in Canada. They seem to be a good company and they are the ONLY company contracted to move all new Porche's from the ports to the dealers.
