I would like to know what is the fastest anybody has HONESTLY gone in stock (.5) 6th gear with a 3.73 rear end gear ratio. This would of course be on a flat, straight highway, probably a silverstate or equivalent. I know the 3.73 generates a lot more heat(that's why they have diff. coolers). I punched in a 3.73 ratio on http://orbitdevelopment.com/vipergears/gears.asp and it shows 203 MPH @ 5,000 RPM(w/3.73 in .5 6th). I looked @ my dyno sheet and the HP/Torque #'s appear to be higher @ 5000 than @ 5900rpm where I have been before in 5th with the stock .74 and 3.07. I realize there is a certain drag limitation where you need a large amount of HP for every additional MPH, but I was just curious if anyone definitively knows if there is a chance of hitting 200+ in 6th w/3.73 or at least 193 or more that can be had from the stock car @5800RPM or so. Paolo.
