I have a 94 RT looking to do headers and exhaust.

1)Do most exhaust systems just come cat back or do they include cats?

2)Are headers year specific because I have side exaust?

3)Do I have to match headers and the exhaust?

4)Am I correct the largest headers are 1 3/4 inch?

5) Who make a complete system headers, cats and exhaust?

Thanks in advance for your help

belangers will fit either gen, but are a PIA on a gen I. You've got to supply your own cats, high flow or otherwise.

Curious to know why you thought they are difficult on a Gen 1? Mine went on without any problems.

Gottaviper - I don't think you would have any problems matching headers vs cat-back. Just make sure you get a cat that has the appropriate inlet and outlet sizes. Not sure about the size of the primary header tubes though.

really? I can't believe yours went on no probs. I've talked to other people who've had similar experiences like myself. had to disconnect both motormounts, remove the cowl, and jack the engine up and push it to either side to get nec. clearance to install. This was on top of the regular routine of removing the fresh air intake and other stuff. PIA in my book!

Why not go with the Gen 2 stock "headers" and 3' exhaust on your Gen 1?

Thats what I did, costed me 75 bucks for "headers" and 500 for manufacturing the 3" sidepipes with Dynomax Bullit mufflers. (plus some optional jet-coating)

Sounds good, moves good, dynoed good! (410hp/477tqe)

Ouch!!! All I had to do was remove the upper plastic thingy for the AC intake.
