Those sills cover the access holes (4 I think) to the upper screws retaining the sill. According to the description, it's a "permanent fit, no tools required". Probably glued on. But yes, they'll need to come off in order to remove those top screws.

Oh Joy! Guess I'll be taking a spackle blade to my Viper... Would love to find someone that has actually done this... Hope I can salvage the plates...not cheap for what they are and I imagine what's underneath will get scraped up during the removal..:crazy2:

dont go by what i say but id think a few shots of WD40 under the plates would loosen the adhesive up enough to pop them off by hand. then get some new double sided tape and reinstall.

What Plum said. I'm also thinking applying heat and a plastic scraper/chisel may do the trick.

if you do the plastic chisel, tape as much as possible to make sure you dont mess it up. but definitely plastic scraper, not metal.

PITA to get off!!!! Had to take a few off for exhaust mods. If you are gonna need to take the sills off more than once, don't put them back on!!

Goo gone works great too just test it on the sill some where inconspicuous 1st. Not sure if ti will fade the sill finish or not. I know it works great on most other surfaces withiut issue.
