I have a 01 Viper thats got an upgraded cam, ported heads, t&ds, 3 inch exhaust and headers, stock throttle bodies and an [******] airbox. Im stuck at 510 Hp 525 Tq at the rear wheels. What can I bolt on now besides a supercharger to get more power? Ive ordered a VEC1, what else is there excluding NOS? Im looking for another 50 or 60 Hp at the rear.

hmmm.... Lets see, underdrive pulley, Flywheel, Extrude hone the intake, 70mm TB's. Did you go with Bigger Valves?? Did you really, really work the heads? How about the cam- Does it have crazy lift?

Those are a few of the things that can pick up a bit of power. Not 50 more at the wheels. I am guessing that since you still make more torque than HP, you can gain a bit more in the heads. What RPM are you peaking RWHP at?

I have the flywheel already and the pulley, the heads have the 194 valves so there not the biggest. The cam was installed before I bought it so I dont know the specs but its definetly not stock. Ive heard the throttle bodies might not be beneficial. The intakes been ported as well. So it sounds as if I have to change the cam and rework the heads further. How much are we talkin?

My best pull is 565/563. At the last Dyno day I did 550/554. I know my Heads were worked BIG time, and the cam is huge. So I would guess that is where the difference must be. Good luck!

You can get your ECM reprogrammed...
Dry oil sump...
What type of headers...are they 5 to 1?
type of CAM is a good question. There are cams out there (that won't pass any type of smog) that will get you LOTS more...

These things alone will get you way more than 60 at the wheels...very expensive, but who cares.

1. Paint your car yellow - according to a search of the forums this is the fastest color.

2. "Type R" sticker, the bigger the better. For a 50 HP gain, I'd recommend a big 2 color vinyl job on each door and across the rear glass.

3. Wings apparently add a ton of power too, at least according to some young fellas driving Hondas I met recently. Their cars had cool neon (lighting, not Dodge) accessories, so I assume they know what they're talking about.

BYT,
I dont know the type of cam I have. I would like to know the size of cam that would still be drivable and idle with enough vacume to run the car properly. What cam will give me 60 at the rear?

I have the vec1, installed yesterday. Is that what you mean as far as reprogramming the ECU?
