... but I do think that something is still missing. the all black wheels seem to dissappear underneath the massive yellowness of the car.

Exactly my point... the stock rims dont have enough negative space so even putting bright red or better yet, yellow calipers is not going to help that much.

I dunno what is missing, but all that dark under the wheel well is not sitting right for me. Obviously there are other opinions.

Black lug nuts would look better with those wheels. Looks good otherwise.
