That's the hard part about owning a unique car like the Viper, it's so expensive to modify and add HP. I also own a Corvette ZR1 with the 4-cam 32-valve V8. It has a handful of mods, with nitrous, and working on a direct port nitrous system. I've spent a lot of money on that car to get it to the HP it has, and even still, it's not setting the world on fire. Same with the Viper, I dread the day I start buying go fast parts for it.
Take a mustang, or rice burner, and you can build a screamer for a fraction of the price. Granted, it will never look as cool, but they will be extremely fast. I know some guys with Supras in Florida who spend a whopping $6k on a single turbo setup and make over 600-HP without touching the bottom end, for a car that light, they are sick fast. Despite all that, I still wouldn't trade up my Viper, because the curb appeal is priceless.
