Hey guys, I'm currently living in Hoboken, NJ and my wife and I are looking at a house in Armonk, NY right now. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice for possibly moving to that town? Seems like a nice country suburban area with lots of nice windey roads to go cruising on, and good schools for our little guy. Do any of you guys live there or near that area?

Looking forward to getting involved with the NY/CN VCA group in a few short months if it all works out, but will miss being a Jersey guy my whole life.

I hope it works it out for you. I've had friends who live(d) in Armonk and they had good things to say about it. I'm sure a NY member will chime in with some local advice. I heard you can take the person out of Jersey but can't take the Jersey out of the person, LOL. You'll fit in just fine with the NY/CT crew.

I too was a Brooklyn transplant to Connecticut. I am familiar with the Armonk area, and have many friends who love the town and the school system. New York and Connecticut have many places to enjoy cruising, dining, sights, family areas and of course, the "NY / CT Viper Club Events." We look forward to seeing you at them.

Looking forward to all of it! Most of all, I'm looking forward to having a proper garage to keep my cars in, and not just some parking garage with 200 other cars... Looking forward to customizing it and making it my own. Does anyone have any recommendations as to good companies to use that can put a nice floor down in the garage and add nice cabinetry on the walls?

My wife grew up in Chappaqua, so this will almost be like a homecoming for her. I have to admit that I hardly know my way around the area and it will be interesting trying to get around.

Will have to have one nice Saturday or Sunday this summer once we settle in a bit to invite everyone from the NY/CN group over to our new pad followed by a fun little drive around the local country roads. Looking forward to meeting you guys and to being an active member of the group.

Well, it's official! New Jersey is moving to New York! We closed on our house in Armonk this Friday and have been working on stuff and moving stuff in all weekend. Won't be living there full time until sometime in mid-late August, but looking forward to it. Have some big plans to redo the garage beautifully, but only one problem with all this house stuff..... It's becoming very hard if not impossible to find time to drive my Viper.....

Looking forward to meeting everyone at a future event. Might have to host a BBQ at my house for a NY/CN/NJ VCA event when we settle in sometime in September...

I think I need to schedule a little check-up for my car with you sometime in late August. The A/C hasn't been working great the past few drives. Runs cold sometimes (usually when driving at cruising speeds), and runs warm when driving slower or stopped. Needs an oil change anyway, but I'm sure this A/C issue isn't supposed to happen.

Congratulations on the move! I just moved to the area 7 months ago and I'm still finding my way. There is a car show in the Rose hill parking lot every saturday night. Its not far from Armonk.

Congrats!! was great to meet you last month in NJ, and exciting to see more cool Viper people moving into the central westchester neighborhood As Pete said, the RoseHill cruise night is pretty good and certainly close-by. Plenty of good roads around the area too, although you'll want to take it easy the first few times on the Saw Mill Parkway

If you can free up a few hours this Saturday to get up to Lime Rock it will be a great time!
