So what is the opinion here to get a better sound compared to the stock exhaust...:D without drilling holes in the exhaust :lmao:

I know that some HF cats give problems: RT...

I do not want to have a full exhaust change. Better (a little louder) sound is fine. The stock sound is way to quiet.

Why not change your exhaust from the cats back? Thats the best way to get the sound you want.

A Corsa Track "cat back" sounds pretty good on an 08 / 09 car, adds some hp & tq, and you don't have to mess with not being able to pass smog.

On an 08/09, Roe HF cats only with the stock cat-back. Mr. Tator suggested this and it is right on.

Headers, no cats (off road only :D), Dynomax Ultra-Flo mufflers.

Sound at WOT:

'09 Viper Dyno Pull

Sound creeping along. Fast forward to 4:16 or watch the whole video. Notice how quiet the other cars are. :D

The older RT cats had problems, the newer ones don't have the problem. I am running the RT cats and about 5000 miles later are still running strong. Another option though that many are satisified with are the Roe Cats. Cant go wrong either way. Agreed that the stock sound is way to quiet but corsa exhaust gives it the sound it should of had from the factory. RT cats may be a little too loud for some.

edit, sorry just saw you have 08. either way Corsa still good route to go.

The car has more bark, overall volume, and more noticeable decel popping. I was never a big fan of decel popping, but now it's music to my ears. This setup is not obnoxious or deafening while cruising at all. It is just plain sweet and I am REALLY glad I didn't spend the extra $$$ to get the Corsa. As for performance, I'd venture to say there may be a slight difference with throttle response but I really haven't pushed it hard since I'm still under 500 miles. IMO, the Roe HF's is all you need with a Gen IV. :2tu:

Thanks Brian, just what I wanted to hear (or hope to hear)to convince me to go with Roe's HF along with the Mopar controller
