May have to try them, bought some last year but chickened out when it came to cutting.
FYI I installed 3" cats and catback two years ago sidesill temps are 180 degrees five minutes after shut down.Tested with infared thermometer numerous times.:dunno:

I have these installed now as well. The fit and finish is great. I have done many street miles and 5 track days so far with them. The only debris that gets in is small rocks. However the back of the sills (meaning the underside facing towards the bottom of the car) is open. Water and small rocks pass right on trough. The openings are not big enough to let anything big in. So there is no issue of fire hazard any more than not doing the mod. If you pull off your rockers and look inside you will notice that your stock heat shields are most likely burned through most of the way. You need to get air over these to relieve this issue. A vent in the back is not going to do anything because the air is not passing over the pipes, unless you have the front open too. I checked my temp with one side done and that side with a temp gun was 25 deg cooler. Seems like they work.

Wow, that came out great! I agree with what everyone said and asked...just an overall nice job, and you did it without taking the sills off...very cool!:headbang:
