Has anyone here experience a squeak coming from somewhere around or under the dash? Only when you hit bumps. I can't tell if it is suspension or the dash.

Its still a dodge. Dodge makes $hitty cars. They really do. One of the reasons I dont get an SRT 10 is it feels more like a Dodge than the GII.

I hit a bump and my Speedo fell into the dash. I shoved it back into place and it hasnt fallen out since.

Something probably is loose and is rubbing. Its probably nothing and will go away.

Sorry for the rant. Come on Ford with the GT!

Ok. now im done.
Good luck.

I usually hear squeaks comming from around, near, over by, in the passenger seat. :D Usually more like a squeel and most often when entering a 90 degree turn at 120 mph. Also happens when I accelerate very hard. Also happens when other things get very .... oh different topic... sorry!

Oh yeah that would be where the blond sits. ;)

If you have the adjustable pedals, they have several places that can rattle. One place is in the adjusting cams and the other is the throttle cable where it connects to the arm for the pedal. It can rub against the steering column, when you hit a bump. To stop it , just glue a piece of rubber inner tube to the column where it comes in contact.

I dont think Dodge makes $hitty cars like Sapphire GTS has stated, The viper might be a little rough around the edges but to say that Dodge makes $****** cars kinda ****** me off due to the fact that I BUILD CARS FOR DODGE EVERY DAY AND DO THE BEST [******] JOB I CAN. Trade the viper in on a ford, per say straight up for a Ford Focus!!!!!! Sorry I will get off my soapbox now and continue reading other threads. Good Day all! :)

I have had much succes with previous Chrysler products, not a big fan of Ford though.

In order of overall quality over the last 10 years,
GM
Ford
DC
That's what I think.

Viper has power. Viper is exotic, low production, attention getter.
Vette has much better quality and engineering. More for the money in every way except the exotic factor. Of course the Vette can't give you that.

Sorry. Dodge has made leaps and bounds along with ford and chevy. Dodge just had more to improve on. Its not your fault. As long as you werent the person that decided to use zip ties on the rear of the viper for body alignment I dont hold it against you. :)

And I will trade it for a ford when the GT comes out. It can sit along side with my Excursion. But until then, my non engineered, psuedo kit car viper will have to do. THE VIPER IS THE MOST KICK A$$ car form the money but anyone that says they are an engineering marvel is a *****. I was an engine with a car built around it.

My 71 -year-old dad used to be an import man till about 9 years ago when I joined Chrysler, and has had nothing but good experiences with the Dodge lineup. With all Auto makers there will be good and not so good cars in the same class. And I do agree that the viper is no engineering marvel but you must give them credit for going that big step in building the Viper AND the Prowler. And as some one has it in their sig. "rice is for frying not driving" :)
