I read on another board a statement that the top speed of the SRT-20 is limited to 191 MPH. Is this true?

Don't think so. Nothing in the manual about it.
No offense, but most manufacturers won't put that in the manual. The LS1 powered T/A's and Z28's are electronically limited to 168mph with the stock PCM programming, and you will never find it in the manual. It is one of the first things to go when you reprogram the PCM, heh.
;)
Trust me, I'v owned several of 'em. Notice the sig, LOL!

Sam, you thread hi-jacker!

Does anyone know the answer to the original question?
Shouldn't you be worrying about looking at red R/T 10 taillights again?
;)
I was merely trying to help get your point across.

That's cold! BTW: how high were you revving before upshifting? I'm definitely shifting the car too early (no, I'm not making excuses - shifted at 5700-5800). Should I be winding the motor out a little more?

Radar gun.

Oh....mods? I've read the SRT is drag limited to just over 186-190mph....But the mags have been wrong many times so I wouldnt be surprised if a bone stock SRT can hit over 200....How long it took you to get to 200mph?...

Gentlemen: The answer to your speed limiter is that there is none. the 190 mph area is where power and resistance hve a stand off. This speed is the approximate torque/horsepower rpm peak in 5th gear.

At 175 on the speedo,at 1 mile,it had taken 28 seconds. That is the only time to speed I had.
