Again I notice Attack…attack…attack. (even attacked a friend)
I was responding to previous questions with facts as I understand them.
To answer the question about where the current VCA members will go for events when their current regional president switches over to the other club, they will most likely select a new Regional President under VCA, elect a new President and reform their club under the VCA Banner.
Just the same thing as when a current Regional President quits. Another will step forward. They will want to stay with the same club and hang with their current friends. The region will become divided, and each club will have their share of the membership. People who want to join with the other club will do so, and many will want nothing to do with either club. (Can't blame them). Some of the current VCA Zone Directors, Directors at Large, and past Regional Presidents will step in to save their local regions, rather than see them flounder when a president leaves. New Presidents will organize those that wish to remain VCA, and the club will continue on as before.
Every Regional club will have people that do not like the way their current President is directing their club. This will give them the opportunity for a fresh start and new leadership. This thing is not all one sided. Many people will be happy to see their current President go, while others will follow him down the yellow brick road.
There are currently thousands of VCA members. Some will stay and some will go. What remains is what the VCA will build on. It will be a more solid foundation, with those that wish the VCA to prosper in a solid alliance, while the dissenters will all be gone.
I remember this same thing when some VCA members were upset that the club website was determined to remain family friendly. No personal threats, no ****, no vulger language. Many left to form Viper Alley. This drew away many posters, but the VCA stayed true to their standards, and has remained in solid growth mode.
VCA will not go away. It will build upon those who want it to succeed. Many members have been here since the beginning. They have seen many issues arise, and themselves have arisen to meet the challenge. There is no quit in these guys. Nobody is going to tell them which club they can belong to, and to which they cannot belong. They are strong and independent. They can decide for themselves whether they have gotten good value from their club membership.
They will remember all the good times they have had, how much great information they have received from the website. They will remember all the great fun at VOI's, regional Zone Events and how much enjoyment they have benefited from at regional club events. Many will not want to risk all this on a start up club that still needs to prove themselves worthy.
Many will stay with VCA for another year, and see how they do. If they do not like what they see, they can always check out the new club, and see which one is providing the best value.
Many will see the value of staying where they feel comfortable. Many will rise to the occasion, and head up their current VCA region if their current president decides to jump ship.
This whole thing reminds me of Obama Care, where over 1/2 of the Senate leaders voted to throw out a well running and well established private insurance program which most people (not the leaders) really liked. They promised that the new and improved insurance plan, with new leadership would solve all the problems…then the website crashed.
