It is good to be a Viper owner!!! I'm super happy with the price and condition of the car. Houston, Texas was HOT (101 at 6PM), but there are some great folks there. Special thanks to KGGDNR for dinner in Houston before the trip back! I owe you one!

What a car! Everything checked out at RSI. They looked over the car and we took a good look at it on the lift as well at RSI in Houston.

Two things had concerned me about the car... we spent a few hours inspecting the car and drove around town for a few hours to find potential issues:
1. Two fender bolts under the hood area were finger loose. Jason at RSI beleived this may have been from the flickering headlight recall (that the fenders may have to come off for that and the dealer was not vigilant on retightening or they just loosened up over time).
2. One screw was loose on the platic housing around the air filters and the hose clamp was off. Jason at RSI believed this was in the vicinity of the cooling fan module (the other recall done on this car) so those items had to come off during warranty work.

Everything else was good, Jason at RSI said it was a very clean and straight car (control arms in the right range, no frame damage, nothing out of whack or repaired). The guy who sold it (Jason Boone) was super nice and devoted his whole day to picking us up at HOU at 10:30 AM, letting us drive the car around town and to lunch, then following us to RSI and hanging out until almost 4 PM.

On the way back the 1,200 miles were easy and a blast in the SRT. Some Interstates in Houston and Louisiana were rough. Tons of looks on the way back and even some drivers pulling up along side to take pictures!! I think we got pretty good gas mileage, but I didn;t care at the tiem and will tally up the gas receipts later.

Back in Blacksburg I had to say goodbye to the S2000, but I think it was a nice upgrade! I am really going to enjoy this car and it will not be a garage queen. Considering the price I paid, I may track the car soon since VIR and Summit Point are both within 2 - 3 hours driving from me.

Thanks to everyone for their help!!!!
