I’ll need to pull the seats to install a 1’’ lowering kit. While their out, anybody try too widen the bolsters for more ass & shoulder room?

Not to hijack but from this post did you get your srt yet.I can help you get the bolsters wider.Have the car shiped to me.I will then put alot of road course track time in for you.The way I drive "poorly" it should be sideways more than straight. This in return should push body weight to widen then out.And of course I will supply fuel for this. And would supply bill for tires and oil changes. No need to thank me What are fellow VCA friends for. :nana:

Haven't got it yet, but I'm looking. I'm just thinking pro-actively. Thanks for the offer though. neighbor is about 350lbs and loves Vipers. I figure I’ll just give it to him for a weekend :)

Andrew,

While the seat is out, you can stand on the lower side bolsters and widen them. I did this to mine and it worked quite well. Take your time and go in steps. If you widen the seat too much, it may be difficult to re-install.

There is a thread on this subject in the archives.

Good luck,

Dan

Unique Autosports in NY just modified the seats for a silver SRT last night on the speed channel. Maybe this was on SPEED earlier I don't know. They removed the seats and cut the foam off with an electric knife and reapolstered the seats. Funny thing was when the owner picked it up he lost it and slide off the road into the grass a screwed up the rear wheel.
Maybe this was on SPEED earlier I don't know.

Thanks Dan, I'll look up the achieves, and that was basically my low tech way of widening the seat.

I'm not into that unique whip show, but I would of liked to have seen that one.
