Chuck98,

The Compac States merely have an agreement that they will honor another States Drivers License Revocation or Suspension. If I get a speeding ticket in Florida and don't satisify it, then Florida will request Georgia to Suspend my Drivers License.

Reciprocity varies as between each state and each other state. For more info, see: http://www.nraila.org/recmap/usrecmap.htm Within that page, you can access the pdf which has each state's reciprocity, and note the idiocy, e.g., Virginia recognizes NC, but NC doesn't recognize anyone or allow out-of-state people to get a permit, which I believe is unconstitutional (can't treat others states' citizens different than your citizens).

Thanks, I knew it was listed, just forgot where.
Looks like no problem with Kentucky; but for Tennessee, you
Yankees will need us southern boys to protect you.

Actually, knowing which states are not reciprocal for speeding is of paramount importance.

This should be quantified and made readily available.

But how does it work?

You get a speeding ticket in another state. You pay the time. you get no points?

Of course if part of the law is they seize your car, I guess reciprocity is of not much use.

HP,

As far as I know TN does not recognize the KY concealed Deadly weapons permit. I have a KY permit, but I think you can carry in your glove compartment okay.

Are those agreements where they exchange info with other states? Florida and Georgia have an agreement like that, but apparently Florida doesn't have the same agreement with it's own counties - which resulted in an expensive inconvenience for yours truly.
