Okay I presently have original calipers with Baer Eradispeed rotors all around. If I was to convert to either of the above do you guys recommend one of the other and why? Also would you do all four or only the front or rears..Thanks for he input!

Seems to be several post on this topic lately. Do a search if you don't get your answer.

What is your application? Street, road, drag or pose?

Don't go Brembo if you are not going to be tracking your car ALL the time. I have them on mine, but my car is mostly a road course car. Squeels all the damn time and there are no pads I can put on it (that I have found) that won't scqueel.

What about Wilwood? Pad replacement for the 6 pistons on all 4 corners was something like 180 bucks!!!

For Stoptechs, its around 225 fronts, 150 rears.

Now theres a direct question (and a good one)for you!! Chuck, speaking of search, I have used this many times and usually do not get any matches, even when using key words that I know have been topics lately. On most boards, words like those would generate several pages of results. Am I missing something about the process? thanks, John

No John, you're not missing anything. The search functionality on this site is horrible. But sometimes it returns something so it's worth a shot.

I too was wondering the same thing, Brembo or Stoptech, after a buddy put 19" HRE's with 15" Brembos on his 01 porsche Turbo it was all over for me! Sick.. Sick.. Sick.. the improvement in brake power was neck snapping and the look is jaw dropping even considering this is 911TT brakes we are comparing to.

Photos please! I can hear it

here we go

forgot to mention they are 8 piston fronts, do the 15's on the front and rear with a proportioning valve to kick more brake to the back like i did on my 98 vette and you will stop on a dime. Consider this setup, I know I cant stop thinking about it along with a T T kit so I can put the smack down on these pesky 911's that are kicking out 750hp with AWD and 15" brakes.

The brakes look great, but that set-up must be over $10K. Know the cost?

Do you have Wilwood brakes on your Viper? If you do.... is it a Gen I... or Gen II..... where did you find them and how much for a four wheel setup?

Thanks in advance!

The SRT Brembo conversion package for Gen. II's appears to be coming soon. You may want to wait a couple of months because it should outperform all the currently available aftermarket systems at a significantly lower price.

this gen3 conversion uses the stock srt-10 brakes? or a gen3 brembo kit retrofitted for the gen2?

From talking to the two different people that are currently developing the conversion kit (at least one of whom is working with PVO), it will use the SRT rotors & calipers along with new knuckles. The reason the SRT setup won't just bolt on to a Gen. II is due to the knuckles being different. Also, the '01+ ABS cars should be able to use their OEM master cylinder, while the earlier cars will also have to have a new master cylinder. I'm also very interested in this setup and will stay in touch with both vendors and post anything else I find out.

snakeoil folks just announced the 2003 kit for most vipers
no price advertised but this kit has to be cheap given the cost of the 03 calipers, pads and rotors.
Believe it comes with a replacement master cylinder to make it all work properly
