The word awesome doesn't even begin to the car Justice. I especially like the front splitter.

WOW.

:1up: +1 Jeff, You have to talk him into getting your hardtop and black stripes too,l:cool:....
Jeff, Do you have a coupe lined up for this package? I have to find a way to come up with some cash to get my SSG Coupe done....Anyone want to donate:rolaugh: :rolaugh: Kevin

Yes, I did ARMORCOAT the front end. Getting it to lay like glass was challenging for me because it is the first time I've sprayed it so it had more orange peel compared to the rest of the finish. Overall, it is WAY better than any sort of tape as far a looks, but I really wanted it to look as good as the other panels. The armorcoat tech explained that with practice, it will lay very smooth.

The tech was very helpful, and explained the product can also be used as a "in between" layer (between base coat and clear). The protection factor is not quite as good, but someone can take advantage of the outer clearcoat for sanding/polishing so that's what you see here. It matches up very well now with virtually zero orange peel, but only Rick will be able to let us know it's durability.

Jeff

I suppose I could throw some small rocks at it to find out. (not happening)

Hi Jeff the car looks awesome!!! Can the Armorcoat be wet sanded and polished?

Car looks awesome, I went away over the holidays to visit folks and everyday went on line to check out car, like I alaways do. I wanted to post and respond but I forgot my login number. Car looks great , I have 3 guys flying down with me to see it on the Dream Weekend in a couple of weeks and can't wait.

Bobby & Dave, I can't wait to go to another New Jersey event. :D

One person asked if was going to put a hard top on, I'm just not a hard top fan. But one person on the forum came up with an awesome idea. That was to do the hood , top and I would of done the trunk all in carbon fiber and done stripes and let the CF show through and painted car in yelloh. It is endless in the idea dept.. And yes I think this should of been the the new Gen IV.

I know everyone who has responded to the posts all give awesome compliments to Jeff and to his work. I see the forum everyday and see the same pictures you see. The only thing the pictures don't quite capture all the true lines of the car. You have to see the car in person. I hope you get to see one of the 5 cars on the road. You will see a difference in the car. I will be at VOI 10 ? How many days before spring. I can't wait.

Great job Jeff See you at Dream Weekend :2tu:

Excellent looking car...like everyone else is saying this should have been the look of the new Viper with the performance of the 08' model. Looking forward to seeing the final product. This by far is what I think most people are looking for when they are expressing there thoughts about the shape of the ultimate viper....looks like this package on the 08' model is the way to go.

Next, we take the original shielding and bond it to the new panels.

Our rings and exhaust tips are made in house on a CNC machine. Once cut out and tabs are welded to the tips, they are polished and installed.

Before the quarter panel is installed, we splice in the wiring for the additional side marker lamp.

We puchased new tail lamp harnesses from the coupe ($29 per side) and installed those. Then I clipped the side marker harness/lamp wire from the old harness and spliced it into the correct location on the rearward traveling harnesses.

The gas door finally arrived. They come with a bit of a satin look so, before installation, we polished it to match the other polished and chromed items on the car.

Here we are with basic construction pretty much done. Monday will we install some of the minor items such as wheel wells, decals, a this or a that and then the car will move on to some heavy detailing. This may take a good part of the day on Tuesday. Wed I plan to take lots of photo's and I hope the weather is good for some outdoor shots. Rick arrives on Thursday to see it in person for the first time and that will officially mark the end of the project. I'll be back to show photo's from both Wednesday and Thursday.

Jeff,

I just wanted to say that I think it is great to see how much work you put into these cars. Today we see so many people cutting corners just to make a couple extra bucks and its nice to see some of the American skill coming back. Glad to have you on the site. Please keep up the great work and God Bless.

Wow, this is something truly stunning!!!!

The other day I read a newsfact on Autoblog saying yelloh attracts more women...
And if you look at Chad with only his yelloh weels, the women he meets...... ;)

You could only imagine what a yelloh Street Serpent will do.:2tu::2tu:

Great job Jeff!
Congrats Rick! Your money was well spent

Jeff, It came out great! :D

I'll also throw in my thanks for sharing the process and progress of this transformation with all of us.
You have a lot to be proud of, from the great looking design, to the methodical and detail oriented execution.

Kudos.
