Stupid question, can I use ATF Super blue as a Clutch Fluid?

Well, basically title says its all. I will be changing my fluids soon and clutch fluid is on the list. I am thinking of ordering ATF super blue for my brake system and I was wondering if I can use the same Super Blue for the clutch?

Yes, I meant ATE.

Sorry, can you elaborate what's a DRBIII. I was thinking to use the "turkey bustard" technic to change the fluid in the clutch not the whole flush. But since I also noted in my original post that I will also be doing brake fluid change I am confused now if you ment DRBIII flush for the clutch or brakes?

Sorry for any confusion, I meant it only for the brakes...for a complete brake fluid flush.

I used motul rbf 600 a couple years ago. I don't track the car I do drive it hard though but I didn't notice much of a difference between stock and the motul fluid. I found the pedal got spongy after about 6 months. I went back to the factory fluid, it lasts much longer with normal use.

I've found the Motul 600 fluid absorbs a lot of water - so it needs to be changed out frequently. I don't do much tracking, so I switched to Valvoline synthetic Dot 4. It has very high wet/dry boiling points, and seems to last a long time.

Yep, that is the reason I don't want Motul, you have to change it like every 6 months. However, I heard ATE is good up to 3 years, depends on how you abuse your car. Besides if I am changing brake fluid it is always easy to see that the new fluid flushed the old one - blue starts leaking out during the bleeding procedure .

The thing that I am still bit unsure is the DRB III. Can anyone tell me if I simply flush old brake fluid through the system by bleeding brakes one corner at the time (starting with the farther one) until I see blue ATE coming out, do I still need to do the DRB III? What will happen if I stop at the above noted procedure, by simply bleeding brakes until new fluid is coming out and not do the DRB III?

You HAVE to use a DRB III to cycle the ABS system actuator valves to achieve a complete flush of fluid or air. Feel free to talk with someone before you start.
