Hello everyone,

I went to order a floor jack from Griot's tonight and they say they are out of stock and do no know when more will be in. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good quality floor jack that has low enough clearance to not damage side sills? I had heard from several members that the Griot's was a good jack, but now I am stuck.

Thanks!

Griots jack is great but it is too heavy to lug off to the track. I keep mine in my garage.

Harbor Freight, Sam's Club, have lightweight (38lbs) low-profile jacks. I've had mine for several years with no problems. Cost less than $100.

The $200 Craftsman is a very nice jack, that's what I have been using. Well made, has a magnetic tray for lugs or anything else and is lightweight. I recently picked up a heavy duty low profile jack made by AC Hydraulics sold through Snake Oyl products. It is very very heavy and long but can get under anything due to its low height. It is probably one of the best low profile jacks out there but it's not cheap, $550 I believe.

sears low profile works good BUT, the lip on the round pad are pretty shallow causing the car to slide off. expensive oil change that time!!!

The craftsman is all silver, I think it is part alum and part steel. I thought it was on sale around $150ish...
works good but lip is too shallow

I use the Craftsman lift, around $150. Great lift, works well. I just can't see spending 4 or 500 dollars for a lift that I wouldn't use all that much.
