A girl can get mighty cold in the winter, gotta do something to keep warm :p haha

I'd like to put on headers, any suggestions on which ones? Will it get me any more rwhp?(I have a creampuff, 2001) I basically want a little more grunt and a LOT more sound.

Any other suggestions on performance mods in the $5K range?

Thanks guys :headbang:

That's a unique spin....A woman getting hea.....oh never mind. ;)

I've heard the B&B and Belanger headers. Both sound awesome, but I like the Belangers better in combo with hf cats and corsa 3" exhaust.

I am flattered Gerald, you are too kind.

But really, I am 46 yrs old, and just a basic kinda girl who is crazy about cars. There are guys on here that have met me and they know I am obsessed.

Leslie, leave these poor guys alone! :D
Go with the belanger headers they are easy to install. Add the exhaust and a VEC2 will really wake up your creampuff.

Other mods to consider, MGW short shifter, Go Cat less too. :2tu:

VEC2 is a piggyback computer that will dial your Viper in, usually giving you more power through the entire range.

I went catless with my TT setup and passed emissions without a blink! :D

No smell, but you can get a race gas tune if you go VEC2, then you've got more power a Card Swipe away! :2tu:

Casey=

VEC2-a tune?

I wondered if the Viper can be tuned. I've done an LS edit on the Z06 every time I added a pwr mod, makes a difference, thanks

Casey,
What's your take on the VEC2 vs. a DC Motorsports PCM reflash? Do you feel that comparable results can be achieved with both? I realize that a reflash is much harder to re-tune if/when more mods go on the car, but for a given state, what do you think?

I really don't know enough about it to not sound stupid! :D

Personally, I like the idea of being about to have mulitple settings like the VEC2 offers. Lord knows I loved putting race gas in my Heffner TT! :smiles:

Also, I don't know the cost difference between the two.

Maybe we can hear from a Viper guru or two on this! :D

I wonder how much performance difference there is to be had on an N/A car by using two different maps/cards (and race-gas vs. pump-gas)......Hmmmmmmm

Race gas has a massive power gain on TTs, so I would guess it would add some decent power to a N/A Viper too! :2tu:

Let us know! :D

I can say for GEN1's the VEC2 is supposed to be the BEST...that is my next power mod...It is not supposed to do as well on the GEN2 as GEN1....

Electric blanket?

Headers and hi-flows to go with the Corsa?

Nitrous?

PCM re-program?

VEC 2?

That about shoots the heck out of a 5k dollar bill!

To get this post back on track, unless you are going to do more engine mods, don't waste your money on headers. Creampuffs do not make gain as much as the earlier 708 cam cars.

Example: My car made 428 rwhp with smooth tubes, filters and a rear muffler delete, I had Heffner install headers, hi-flows and cat back. I gained a whopping 12 more rwhp. The car did sound nicer though.

are you serious Casey about going catless and passing emission's. Do they use a sniffer, Here in Utah they use a Sniffer. I would love to go catless and get some more growl!!!!

I got a set of Belangers for sale in the classifieds. They're in very good shape.
