John .....The Sapphire air tubes are a nice touch... :2tu: ...sometimes you can have too much chrome. Hot looking hood pad or should I say cool pad.
It looks professional and it kicks a$$.

P.S. Fuelman change that avatar to a Sapphire GTS, blue was only available 96-97

Those Florida Viper's loved that sweet Texas(cold)air at the Texas V-10 Nationals. Cudaman' Sapphire RT/10 and Fuelman's Sapphire GTS(picture was taken from his(GTS)car). Fuelman driving on a closed track at 120mph...one hand on the wheel, one hand taking picture. Do not try this at home..... Fuelman is a train professional.

Hey Larry....Any HP gains with the box? Where can i get one

Proracer,

Larry can get you one. We have not re-dynoed the car yet, the car did run it's best at San Antonio of 11.03 at 129.53 mph with this airbox, previously with the old airbox we went 11.18 at about 127-128 mph, on some of the runs at San Antonio our time was worse due to launching on drag radials, but the car ran over 130 mph. There were some other variables though, different track, air was a bit cooler. One of the things I like best is that with the wider supercharger inlet tubes it takes the pressure off of the smooth tubes and the old air box. Before it was like wrestling with a Sumo to get the tubes on and off and I broke more than one airbox trying. This box will fit many different setups, throttle bodies tubes etc and it is much easier to take it in and out. Plus it looks great especially through the Naca duct, also the whine of the supercharger is slightly more audible, sounds great. :2tu:

Actually, Jeff (Proracer) has the original prototype airbox on his Viper, John. Instead of his airbox being painted in Sapphire, his is painted 96-97 Viper Blue sans the white stripes.

Thanks to everyone for voicing the kind words! In all honesty, I didn't create the airbox, we're just going to test and distribute the product. Additionally we're going to distribute the billet valve covers shown in the PICS and the thermal hood liner. Thank you!
