Without starting another "which SC is best flame war", what I'd like to see is an unbiased comparison chart comparing the top 3-4 Viper supercharger packages.

Of course it's hard to compare some of the packages, since some SC systems packages include or require new headers, new pistons, new fuel management chipset, etc.

But wouldn't it be nice to see some sort of comparison chart comparing DLM, Sean, Heffner, etc?

Maybe some stats could include: total HP increase, total torque increase, dollar/HP, dollar/torque, bolt on/DIY (Yes/No), nationwide installers(in , current PSI used, maximum PSI, intercooled (Yes/No), octanes supported(93,94,100,etc.), total pricetag.

From my limited research, it appears Sean's system is the easiest to install with the best dollar/HP increase. However, some of the other SC'ers claim higher HP numbers along with their higher pricetag. But perhaps my analysis is flawed? That's why it would be nice to have a comparison chart.

Maybe there is just too much customization to make apples-to-apples comparisons amongst all the SC'ers, but might make a good exercise for someone if they are up to the challenge. I'm sure us non-SC'er lurkers/prospective SC'er buyers would find it useful info.. any takers?

I do agree that a chart would help but… I think what you really need to do to find the right product for you, is ask yourself 2 questions.

1. What am I willing to spend?
2. How much HP do I want?

I think if you ask these questions your choice will be made for you. If you have a tight budget and you only need 500-600 wheel HP, the Roe kit is the way to go. If you will not be satisfied until you get to 800+ you better choose an intercooled kit. How would you answer those 2 questions?

Tough to say. I like the pricetag on Sean's system for the "now". (strict budget with a wedding on the way)

But what if I installed Sean's SC'er now and then a year or two later wanted more power when I had more cash?

Does this mean I'd have to sell Sean's system on eBay and buy the more expensive intercooled ones? Or can Sean's system somehow be upgraded later? I don't think Sean's system can be intercooled later on (space issues?), but I'm a novice car techie at best.

That should be another category in the chart as well. "Upgradeability".

I believe Sean is working on increasing the psi on his SCer for more power, but it's still in the testing phase.

There are other issues as well. Unlike the bolt on system aka Sean Roe DLM system is much more involved ex. fuel system complete upgrade, intercooler and I know dougs system also upgrades many other systems taking you away from stock specs whereas if you just wanted a system which would allow you to convert back to stock much more easily Sean's system would be more desirable.

Just my 2c
