Switching seats, Anyone tired it?

Drove in the passenger seat the other day and noticed it's more comfortable it was than my drivers side. Anyone ever flip flop there seats?
I know the seat belt guide could be an issue.

But the question begs to be asked, why were you smelling the seats?

Because my car is for sale and I want to be honest. "Car for sale: one seat smells new; once seat smells, maybe 1859".

I dont know about the smell part but it can be done. Great thing is you can do it without any tools. I do it to keep the seat wear even. It's so easy the instructions will confuse you more than the task. Feel underneath the front side of the seat. You will feel this metal bar (aprx 1/8 in dia and 10"long) It runs parralel with the front of the seat. That bar also rest tightly against a raised portion of the base. Push firmly on the bottom(where you sit)and push that bar towards the back applying enough pressure that it will go over that raised part. It will pop and then all you do is lift the seat. The lumbar pump is not attached to the seat. It's attached to the springs. Going back together is just as easy. I can swap both out and back in less than two minutes. It's that easy.

Thanks viperrt96, I just installed a 1'' lowering kit for both seats so I understand your instructions, but your only talking about the bottom of the seat not the back. I was thinking of switching the whole seat.

As for the rest of you guys. Stop sniffing your seats, stick with the glue.

and thanks rac156 for offering to find a chauffeur for me. That's easier than switching the seats. Good thinking.

The reason that you pass seat sits better is because your driver's side seat bun is worn more that the other side.
