Can we get some impressions from the lucky bums that got a ride in the Venom 800? Once you finish cleaning out your suits that is

You said it John. I hope the North Texas group (esp. King) found time to enjoy the weekend too. Good job guys!

Thanks to Dodge and the VCA for the two autocross Vipers. We took real good care of them.

YES, THANKS to the North Texas and the national folks for making this thing work, we all had a blast!! Motorsports Ranch is a very nice track and I can see some new members as a result of our trip there.

Yeah Steve, everyone did take care of the "company cars" didn't they. Tires and clutches are consumables after all... I can see the for sale ad's now "..low mileage, just used for short trips around town.."

I think everyone enjoyed the autocross acrobatics.

Thanks again to N. Texas and the VCA for making this happen.

All I have to say is that I'm glad I was in Group A for the autocross!! We certainly warmed up the cars for Group B.

Driving the factory cars simple made the event for me. What a blast!!!

Thanks to all that attended and especially those who helped make the event possible (King, Rich, and countless others)!!

A big thanks to Dodge for letting us drive the 2001s. It is very helpful for current owners to drive a newer model. I know it sold my girlfriend on a 2001 now. Dodge, please pay attention! This type of event is selling more cars for you!

OK, Those of you that have seen my photo diaries from the Panoz School and the AutoRama know I can do better than this, but I was too busy having fun to take many pictures, and I am sick of the poor quality of the low resolution(60 to 90k) photos from this olympus camera. Time for a new one (unless there is a photo expert on the board who can help me do a better job with this one: calling Chris Marshall!)

Keeping with the theory that rough photos are better than none, here is a link to the first batch I've posted, prior to image editing and cute titles. My thanks also go out to all the folks that worked so hard to get this done, especially King! (I hope he read this and sees these pictures next week when he wakes up from his well-deserved nap!)

I also enjoyed seeing my racing school friends Jeff and Prashant and Jason, as well as an old friend from West Texas, John N. The best part was meeting new friends like Jay Lopez and Mary, Danny Baum, Tom Atherton and Marshall Sligar, and meeting some of the "old timers" and keys to this clubs success like Prez Tony (who worked the A group autocross all morning) Butch Kirby, Jay Herbert and Kieth Verges.

Bottom Line: I had my 14-year old son with me and we had a awesome time that he will never forget, and I was so proud and grateful of all the club members that made him feel welcome and special and went out of their way to do so (Gary, King).
