Thanks for the record keeper=et\'s and horsepower etc....but..

Its a great thing we needed...THANKS, it could use a few changes IMHO.
Normally aspirated is not nitrous assisted, n02 should have its own class or be combined with a s/c class. My hats off to the Venom tt1000 but one car should show its best time and not its three bests. If everybody did that the first twenty spots could be two or three cars....nobody cares that someone ran a 11.02 and a 11.04 and a 11.06, just put the fastest et and best mph with the current setup and update it when it gets better (if it is updatable)my .02 tnx,

I agree with 1TONY1. I think the categories should be divided by number of power adders, not just any combination of turbo, s/c, NOS. This gives a more realistic comparison of cars.

As with all programs, the current record keeper is v1.0

Input was asked for, and many options have now been taken into consideration.

Version 2.0 will begin once I find some spare time to put it all together. As always, your comments are welcomed. Please email me directly so I do not miss them.

Thanks

My pleasure Tony. If we could get everyone to agree (not likely) what categories they would like to see, we can make it happen.

Currently, Nitrous cars are listed as N/A because, well, they are. The nitrous is just a fuel. By putting them into their own category I would hate to see folks start saying "well, what about folks dynoing with race gas compared to 91 octane?".

The original categories were setup by induction type. But we are open to suggestions of course. Matters not to me...

Don,

Nice job with the record keeper. If I remember correctly it was designed as a format where folks could go and see what cars are running with different mods and a different pricing levels. I agree that one car should only have one entry..if it goes faster, change the numbers in its entry. Add a column for the very important cost of mods that got the car to the numbers it ran. In my opinion, the cost vs. performance column is very valuable data for anyone wishing to persue future modifications to their Viper.

Tom, I still remember your previous suggestion on this, and it is one of the items that will make it to v2.0

Thanks!

All great ideas. I look forward to seeing version 2. Runnr, while you're technically correct with regard to no2 cars still being NA, perhaps it would be better for all if you had 2 NA categories (with and without no2)

KEEP IT SIMPLE.
Stock(motor/drivetrain) or Modified.-ET/MPH
Use the mods box to list what you've got, end. Why the heck would you seperate various mods
rolleyes.gif
The competitive racer wants to see a simple list where he stacks up.
If your gonna keep mods seperated, maybe add the cars weight, and suspension.I also think it should be a forum item. How fast these cars go in the 1/4 is this boards #1 asked ?.
Glad you've got it!

Re: Thanks for the record keeper=et\'s and horsepower etc....but..

btw, the new version of the Record Keeper will be intergrated with the user database for the forums here. But we cannot do this until the switch to the new forums takes place.

It will be password protected using your existing password for the forums. That way you will be able to update your car as you progress with it.

Some of the new fields will include:
- owner
- driver (for racing)
- cost of upgrades
- track (for racing)
- year/model

and more.

We will also be setting up information for road course tracks, with your best times listed. Didn't want to leave the track rats out of the fun

I will be working on this shortly, so anymore suggestions please email me directly at don@bosdev.com

Thanks

Thanks for looking after us road racers.

I think tires is another important item for both drag and road racing.

Ahh, yes. Tires. Good one! Thanks!

(btw, if anyone is able to make a list of tracks, and email it to me, it would help out a lot!)
